Oracle® Order Management is built to meet the needs of e-businesses. The open, workflow based architecture supports tailored, automated fulfillment processes without customization. It captures multi-channel demand from sources including EDI, XML, tele-sales or web storefronts. As part of a complete order to cash solution it enables global order promising integrated to shipment execution. Order Management is part of the Oracle E-Business Suite, an integrated set of applications that are
engineered to work together.

Oracle Order Management is 100% Internet based. It is built on an object-oriented, open API, based architecture that leverages its workflow design for flexibility without customization. Within Order Management, APIs are invoked by logic coded in Oracle Workflow™. Workflow controls the
sequence of events that occur in the processing of both the customer's order and its respective order lines. This provides maximum flexibility to use the combination of APIs and Workflow to efficiently handle not only the standard fulfillment processes, but also the many exception-based
processes that every business must accommodate.

Flexible, Workflow Driven Architecture
Order Management has an architecture that is both extensible and tailorable. Implementing Order Management is fast and easy because fewer modifications are required to accommodate specialized fulfillment process requirements. The design philosophy underlying Order Management
is to provide the maximum capability to tailor the operation and functionality of this software product to meet company specific requirements, rather than forcing the company to reengineer processes to fit the software.

information.
